Course Overview
The Tugboat Handling and ASD Fundamentals course trains mariners in ship assists, escorts, and general tug handling, including making and breaking tow. Students will learn Z-drive propulsion technology and its practical applications in modern tug operations. With hands-on training in Azimuthing Propulsion Systems (ASD), mariners develop effective boat handling skills. Open to those 18 and older, it's ideal for ship docking and conventional tug operators looking to enhance their expertise.
